No Child Left Inside

 

When we were kids and were punished we were not allowed to go out and play. Now, we punish our kids by taking away electronics and forcing them to go out and play!  We believe if you give all children an assortment of fun and accessible activities, they will begin to start making the choice to go out and play instead of staying inside with television and video games as their choice of entertainment. We believe that no matter what the economic situation for our families, every child should have the opportunity to participate in full. Our Financial Aid and Volunteer Programs make every child’s ability to be involved in all activities a reality.

 

Village Bucks Program

 

We give children and adults the ability to support our vision and get involved in the pulse of the community; all while earning Village Bucks. By the hours you dedicate to the needs of our community through our Village we directly support our local charities. Instead of just handing your kids money, they can come at any time and earn Village Bucks by doing “Deeds” for the ones in need, in our local community. You can track your account at any time as your Village Bucks accumulate just like a weekly paycheck. This history report will be available to be included as part of a college resume and application by showing your child’s track record of community impact and involvement throughout the years. By earning Village Bucks and becoming a part of our team, we promise the experience will be life changing. We will provide all of the details prior to our Grand Opening.

 

The Tribe

 

This is one of our most exciting programs within our Village. Our Tribe is a group of dedicated students at every grade level with a specific dedicated mission to becoming a part of a mentorship group. The college students will support and develop the high school kids, the high school kids will develop the middle school kids and the middle school kids will develop the elementary school kids. With so many children falling through the cracks and in need of some type of support, we will provide a mechanism to allow all of our children to accomplish their dreams. All parents can use some community support. Kids need to be guided by a group that cares and understands the emotional, educational and physical changes they are going through, because they have recently had the experiences. Like a big brother, big sister set up, we will utilize the resources of our great society to impact each generation with compassion and understanding, paying it forward. Yes, it does take a Village!

The world is not full of doom and gloom. Amidst all of the depressing stories of violence and war, there are also numerous stories of amazing people performing truly inspirational feats. We look to share these stories from around the globe to make an impact on our community, all by our local high school and university students. 

 

Village Art

 

While the perpetrators of discrimination and settings in which they occur may vary, at the heart of all forms of discrimination are ignorance and prejudice. Our High School art programs will proudly display their specific countries did you know facts, about all of these countries. Our goals are to think globally to abolish international discrimination, as we act locally with art and education.

GearHeads

 

For those who are totally into cars and very knowledgeable about how to fix and modify them, this shop is for you. We will interact with our students and our local neighbors, teaching them to work together to restore cars. The cars will then be donated to the HOG Program. (Help One Guy)
